Birthday 2009 - With Colleagues II

This is another belated birthday celebration one week after my birthday. This group of colleagues are the best colleagues I'd ever had.. They are all friendly, nice and thoughtful people. The reason they postponed my birthday celebration was because the 'big guys' were in the office. Therefore, it wouldn't be nice if we came back late from lunch. They had even asked if I mind about that.. and of course I do not mind at all.

They were very secretive for not letting me know where were we going.. And they were really good at it. They left me puzzled till the day we reached this place.. All they told me was to wear pretty and remember to bring my DSLR that day.. Arrghh.. I don't even have a clue where we were going .. But it was OK.. Surprise mah, right ??

And so, we reached this place called "Passion Road" at Jln Yap Kwan Seng.. It's like a bungalow restaurant hidden somewhere next to Megan Phileo Avenue.. They have indoor and outdoor seats.. and my lovely colleagues had chose indoor as it will be more comfortable to enjoy the meals.

The indoor decoration is decorated with very balinese kind of feel.. dim lightning with long dining tables.. Mirrors, cupboards.. for deco around the dining area..

They offer two types of set lunch at very affordable price.

One is the Standard Set Lunch and another is Premium Set Lunch.

Both comes with Lime drinks (free flow) , main course and dessert.

FYI, their set lunch changes every week.

Birthday 2009 - With Dearie (Home & Bubba Gump)

In the evening, Dearie came over with KFC and an American Chocolate birthday cake. Why KFC only?? Well, we don't really like to celebrate any special occassion during weekdays. Just imagine after work, you have to rush to somewhere and you have to go through some traffic jam before reaching and after makan-makan, rush back home for rest and sleep. And Dearie has to drive back home after sending me home. Isn't it time consuming & tiring? We both share the same opinion so, we decided to have a better dinner during the weekend instead.

Here is the mini celebration after we had KFC .. During dinner, Dearie said he didn't buy me any birthday gift this year and asked if I was disappointed or not ... And I said it was OK.. Nvm lah ..

It was a surprise that I found out he actually hid the birthday gift in my wardrobe. So, I was unwrapping the gift.

Ta dah...... EA - Green tea Exotic fragrance. I had a EA normal green tea fragrance that I had finished it months ago. Luv it !! A hand made card that my lovely colleague, Joan had made for me.

I have a few talented colleagues who love card making too .. ^_^

A few days later, we head to Bubba Gump for dinner after catching a movie. It was our first time there so, the place is very new for us. It has a nice ambience there. This is like a car plat that shows "Run Forrest Run" meaning you don't need the waiter's help so, he/she keeps running.

And if you change it to "Stop Forrest Stop" the waiter will know that you need something so they will stop right in front of your table and ask if there is anything they can help. I was taking this photo and when the waiter saw it, he came immediately to ask if we need any assistance... LOL ... so efficient, eh ...

The drinks menu on the ping pong bat. There is a mini pail on the table that you can find paper towel, Heinz tomato sauce, Lingham Chilli Sauce, Tobassco Sauce and Wet tissues.
Free Flow for Softdrinks .. I think it's RM 6.90 Dearie ordered a side dish - Mashed Potatoes.. It tasted so yummy.. Highly recommended.. Bourbon Street Mahi Mahi

It was too big that Dearie can't eat it in a whole.

Birthday 2009 - With Colleagues I

It was a happy day on 18 Nov 2009. Because it was my birthday!! It's another year again. Everytime after my birthday, it reminds me of the year is getting to an end soon and the next thing you know, it's new year again ... Fuhh.. just look at how time flies so fast !

We were told by the management that there will be an earthquake/fire drill on my birthday week. But they do not want to disclose which day they will be doing it. It was about 9.30 am the emergency lights started blinking and the alarm ringing with annoucement telling us to get out of the building asap. We were all like very slumber as we had knew this is a drill exercise. Hehehe..

It was so hot and we were so sweating standing under the hot sun. Well, of course we found trees to hide ourselves down there but it was still hot because of the heat! Another colleague was sharing the same birthday as mine so, his group of colleagues sang him a birthday song... And my gang of colleagues heard them singing, so they followed along..... and changed the name to my name instead. Everyone was looking at us... and I was so happy to see the smiley faces my colleagues. So touched by them singing a birthday song to me. However, it was still hot.. sweating and the make up almost melted.......

Got a long distance called from my deartest aunt in Brunei..

We had early lunch and back to the office to work as normal. At 3pm ++ a few colleagues seems to be gone to somewhere.. It was so empty on my left side so i thought they went for a group meeting. Suddenly, a colleague asked me out for a while and that time I knew that something was not right. When they started to see me showing up they sang me a birthday song.. I was so touched that I nearly got into tears !!!

Here are the cards that I made using the 1 1/2" scallop circle punch from Marvy Uchida and a 1 1/8" circle punch from EK Success that I bought 2 weeks ago. And this is how they look like with my round 1" Happy Birthday rubber stamp.

New Camera

I felt disappointed receiving this gift which is a 2gb Pendrive. Two days later, I received a call that said they made a mistake & sent the wrong gift to me. I was supposed to get a camera instead of a thumbdrive. So, someone came and collected from me and I was told to wait to receive the gift through mail. All right. As long as I get a camera, it worth the wait. And last week, I finally got it ... I was so so so happy !!

YES !!! I've got a new compact digital camera and I'm loving it !!!

Thought of watching 2012 on Saturday but all the showing time were fully booked on that day so we watch The Traveller's Wife instead. Not bad. I had always love to watch love stories. And after the movie, what else can we do in the shopping mall?? Of course shopping laaaaa...

Bought a 1 1/2" scallop circle punch from Marvy Uchida and a 1 1/8" circle punch from EK Sucess. And they prices were not cheap at all !!!

Bought sentiment clear stamps as well. I had always love sentiment stamps!

Even though it comes with a 10% discount, it is still expensive! I told myself that I had done enough shopping for papers, tools and stamps. Otherwise, I will be going to declare bankrupt soon. LOL ^_^

My purchases with Scrap-n-Crop

Girls just love to spend their money, don't they? Sometimes, I feel like I want to buy a new lens for my DSLR or perhaps a speedlite!!! But just don't know why I invested in these instead. These tools and papers I bought from Scrap-N-Crop ain't cheap ler... It costed me a few hundreds RM !!!! I felt heartache too spending on these new tools but thinking back, I can make nice cards with these new tools...
